Our Arabian Horse Breeding Journey in Slovenia

Nine years ago, in the beautiful green countryside of Slovenia, our journey with Arabian horses began.

At that time, we could not have known how deeply these extraordinary horses would become a part of our lives. We simply had a passion for the Arabian horse—its beauty, intelligence, sensitivity, and unmistakable presence. Every Arabian carries something special: a combination of elegance and strength, history and character that is difficult to describe until you have lived beside one.

Our breeding story started with two horses who will always hold a special place in our hearts: the stallion Tery and the mare Sahraa.

They were the beginning.

With Tery and Sahraa, we started learning what it truly means to be breeders. Breeding Arabian horses is much more than choosing a stallion and a mare. It is about studying pedigrees, understanding conformation and character, watching horses develop through generations, and constantly thinking about what you want to preserve and improve.

Most importantly, it teaches patience.

As the years passed, our passion became stronger and our vision became clearer. We wanted to build a breeding program based on quality, not simply numbers. We began searching for exceptional foundation mares—mares with strong pedigrees, correct conformation, beautiful Arabian type, good movement, and the character that we value so much.

One by one, new mares joined our family.

Each was chosen for a reason. Each brought something different to our breeding program: a particular bloodline, an elegant head, powerful movement, a beautiful body, refinement, charisma, or the potential to become an important broodmare for future generations.

Slowly, what had started with Tery and Sahraa began to grow into something much bigger.

There have been unforgettable moments along the way: waiting through the long nights for a foal to arrive, seeing a newborn stand for the first time, watching a young horse develop and suddenly recognizing qualities inherited from its mother, father, or even an earlier generation.

There have also been challenges. Every breeder knows that horses teach us humility. Not every plan works exactly as imagined, and nature often has plans of its own. But every experience has taught us something and helped shape the direction of our breeding program.

Today, after nine years, we can look back and see that we have not simply collected horses—we have been building a family and a breeding program generation by generation.

Our foundation mares are now at the heart of that future.

We carefully consider every breeding combination, always asking ourselves what the next generation could become. Our goal is to breed Arabian horses that immediately show their heritage: beautiful and refined, but also athletic, correct, intelligent, and full of character.

Being Arabian horse breeders in Slovenia makes our story even more special. We may come from a small country, but passion has no borders. The Arabian horse itself has travelled through countries, cultures, and generations for centuries, bringing people together through a shared admiration for one of the world's oldest and most remarkable horse breeds.

For us, breeding is not about creating a horse for one moment.

It is about creating something that can continue.

A filly born today may become an important broodmare years from now. Her daughter may carry the qualities we hoped for even further. A decision made today can still be visible several generations later. That is what makes breeding so fascinating—and why choosing the right foundation mares has been so important to us.
